For some reason I thought I had heard that all out of market - even NHLN - games would be available on ESPN+ but I must have just remembered wrong.

NHL Network games have never been available on ESPN+. They announce the NHL Network schedule by month (usually weekend games), but given the team is good now expect a lot of them.

On some level I get it. When you look for hit songs by Paul to play during a stoppage you only have about 1000 choices so you have to play that one or you have to go to a second tier song like Can’t Buy Me Love, she Loves You, I Want To Hokd Your Hand, She’s A Woman, Michelle, Yestedsy, Sgt. Pepper’s Linely Hearts Club Band, Penny Lane, Eleanor Rigby, Another Girl, I’m Looking Theough You, Rocky Raccoon, Back in the USSR, oh Darling, Come and Get It, Fool On The Hill, Hello Goodbye, When I’m 64, For No One, Let It Be, Hey Jude, Carry That Weight, Long and Winding Road. I may have missed a few and he might have one or two minor songs after the 1960s so you obviously struggle to find an alternative to Saw Her Standing There.

It's really unfortunate once you set your lines at the start of training camp you're never allowed to make any changes ever again for the rest of eternity.

man...at some points, it was like Keystone Cops / Helter-Skelter stuff from the Devils.

But for the most part, they've kinda stabilized things.

Vitek's played EXTREMELY WELL tonight thus far (those 2 goals were both FLUKEY-AS-FK ones by the Rags).

I’m not surprised ruff is giving holtz a chance on the Hischier line in the preseason but when the games matter I think mercer is going to take that spot. Holtz is not ready for top 6 full time yet. I am not ready to write him off like some are but he is clearly on a different trajectory than mercer who were both from the same draft.

Mercer could be a Nico lite but his ceiling might be slightly capped. He already looks developed. Holtz could be like caufield - a potential 50 goal scorer but he really needs to learn how to play an nhl game and get stronger.

I don't hate the beetles...I just think they're incredibly overrated.

It may be preseason but, this team is as good as they look folks. Last year wasn't a fluke with players having career years and overachieving and just getting the majority of the bounces. This is an elite contender and arguably a better roster top from bottom. Point and win totals may not exceed last year's but, the presidents trophy will be within reach.

You gotta know what you got. You also want other teams to see that too, I think Holtz is trade bait in the end.

Mercer has though improved immensely, I'm not surprised by his level of play, I'm just surprised how fast he's gotten there,

He'll be in top six in due time, so no worries here.
