In what metric? 16th in save%, 13th in GAA, 15th in winsHe's been a top 10 goalie this year.
They need some greasy goals and deflection goals to supplement the east-west offense. There will be stretches where it'll feel like the team is being goalied again.Caps are old and cannot score. Their Cup winning veterans will keep them from melting down but I feel like they emptied their tanks to get in. Charles Lindgren's career high in games played was 31 coming into this season and he's currently at 50 and counting. Rangers play their game and its over in 5, especially with how Panarin, Fox and Igor have played. And the physical element is not one sided against the Rangers. Trouba, Goodrow, Cuylle, Rempe need to stand up straight in this series. Set the tone for your team on home ice.
No, but you can kinda extrapolate a bitMaybe I missed it, but are there any preliminary schedules?
In the last 2 weeks he has 4 wins, a 1.87 GAA, a .928 SV%, and a SHO. He's a top 16 goalie and he's hot. He may be tough in the series. In what metric? 16th in save%, 13th in GAA, 15th in wins
He's 8th in GAR and 8th in GSAx.In what metric? 16th in save%, 13th in GAA, 15th in wins
I'm not reading too much into it. He'll switch them back as soon as somebody sneezes in the wrong direction. In hindsight, it is kind of funny that we pleaded all season long for Trouba to be taken out of top 4, only for coach to do exactly that in the final week of the season.
I wonder how long Lavi knew this move was going to be made.
Not really, he doesn’t punish players like that (a la Gallant/Quinn/AV/Torts)I'm not reading too much into it. He'll switch them back as soon as somebody sneezes in the wrong direction.
Goals saved above expected. I assume. In what metric? 16th in save%, 13th in GAA, 15th in wins
It's not about punishment. If we have one bad period he's gonna go back to what he used all year. Every time he's tinkered this year, he goes back. He's the type of coach that decides what he's using and sticks with it Hell or high water. Not really, he doesn’t punish players like that (a la Gallant/Quinn/AV/Torts)
I always love your postings on here. You're one of the happiest and most friendly posters. Just wanted to say that!
I think for what they gave up, they got decent value.I'm sure it's been discussed here before, but I have to say that the Rangers could have done a lot better at the trade deadline to help their chances in the playoffs. Based off what I've seen from Roslovic and Wennberg, they're not doing anything people who were already on the Rangers' roster weren't already doing. Drury really needed to get someone to play with Kreider and Zibanejad. This he did not do. Wennberg is what he is - whatever. I'm not banking on Chytil coming back for the playoffs but that's the kind of speed and skill they need for a good run.
I really don't want to see much of Gus, either. Play Jones (but that won't happen). For the love of God, please don't match up Goodrows line against Ovi's line.Play Fox more too, especially over Trouba
I dont even think we need to think about it.For the love of God, please don't match up Goodrows line against Ovi's line.Play Fox more too, especially over Trouba
Agreed.Gus really fell off awhile ago,and kinda sucks in his own zone.Throw in some bonehead turnovers and he could be a bad problem for us.Hope I'm wrong and he picks it upI really don't want to see much of Gus, either. Play Jones (but that won't happen).
Will MSG air some games then back forth TNT or ESPN +?No, but you can kinda extrapolate a bit
