Kaliev needs to put time in the summer to work on his skating if he wants to stay in the league. His edge work is not NHL level (some of what we're seeing is due to not being up-to-speed due to camp injury but even allowing for this - it's a detriment).

In theory also, Kaliyev likes to shoot really from everywhere, and he should. But those shots can create havoc in front of the net. If Kreider can get there at 5v5, he's one of the best in and around that area so it should work
iv'e seen kaliyev score from the faceoff dots, then on the next trip down the ice he dug out the puck from deep in the corner behind the goal line. fired at the goal and scored. i couldnt believe it when i saw it. the angle was so great it impossible and halfway across the ice. heading out to center ice he just shrugged his shoulders and looked sheepish grinning. ive never seen anything like it.
kaliyev is a natural scorer and is gifted.

arthur has some trouble socially it appears but like any young guy trying to earn his shot at his chosen livelyhood he'sanxious and trying to impress. the kings experience for him was one of neglect of natural scorer on a team who had a martinet for a coach that tried to turn him into a 4th line line grinder. todd macclellan also ruined yakupov on the oilers and tried to ruin kaliyev. as for the team and thier professed interest in player health off the ice, they absolutly ignored this high strung young man and improving his communication techniques. thier management team should be ashamed of themselves for this and kaliyev's experience with the kings is indicative of the pure bullshit they feed their fans and the fly by night, hobbyist nature of the organization as it now is under robitaille, rob blake and marc bergevin.
no, im not artur's agent but just a former kings fan for more years than i'll admit to. and someone who'd like to see this talented kid get a fair shot.
