It's not only Kreider. Guys like Strome who've found a home here. The clips show how close knit they are now. He was saying in his interview how they've learned how to play together and how to win together. It's a shitty situation to have to lose some of these guys.

There only one solution I see. Say goodbye to CK, possibly Georgie and sign the rest. How could this organization tear apart this team with the roll we are on? Missing one will not hurt nearly as much, as a firesale.

Kreider is the 3rd in points and plays top line minutes. That's what makes him particularly significant (amongst other things). To the players who are breaking their backs fighting for a playoff spot, that is a huge slap in the face from management and them basically saying they don't believe in their players. It's a bad look. Tough spot for Gorts.

Kind of a good thing Boston is off the table. Imagine him going to the B's, us squeaking into the PO's and losing to them in the first round? Heads would roll.
