Your memory serves correct. He was quite good in that series, I thought he saved his NHL career there.
Funny thing is that he was the best player outside of Dubi for those 5 games. Feels like an eternity ago given how the org has come along. Gilroy was doing something consistently in HFD that he hardly ever did in NY, and that is block shots.
Still doesn't engage or compete hard enough physically, but a very solid signing.
