This is a silly statement as if the fate of both franchises lie on this one game. If we make the playoffs, you never know what can happen then. We aren't in a good position to do that however so you look towards what we are building towards. We are not Buffalo though. We have money and a lot of good organizational assets. We are recouping what goes out by bringing players and picks in and during the summer, because we are New York, we can attract big assets a la Panarin (UFA), Fox (demanded trade), and Trouba (pretty much forced the trade). Buffalo can do none of these things. They are forced to make idiotic moves like the Okposo trade, the Skinner signing (that contract aged well), or that horrible Ville Leino signing way back. They are doomed to lose ROR, Drury, Briere. Their franchise is just doomed in ways we cannot fathom.
