I don't know if the Tyson Barrie talks are dying down but I would trade DZ for Barrie and a pick in a heartbeat. Barrie has had less NHL success at this point, but fits a role we need on this team much better than Del Zotto does at this point. If you're to believe we'll have McDonagh, Staal, and Moore going forward (I do) then you need to fill out the right side. Stralman is a nice player but not an elite talent, Girardi could possibly walk for the right opportunity this summer, and McIlrath hasn't proven he can play in the NHL consistently. Barrie is the kind of guy who long-term could be your 2nd pairing guy who goes with Staal, scores some points and is mobile. Or if you keep Girardi and are low on McIlrath (seems like they are), you keep the top 4 and throw Barrie with Moore and call it a day. The third pairing is a little weak defensively but is it any worse than having either Del Zotto or Moore playing their off side? (I'll answer that for you, it's not)
