Finally got around to getting new wipers for the boy today. Went with the Bosch. $30 each but great reviews. The Rainx blades had trash reviews. Apparently they leave white streaks. Glad I checked

So for the first time since I've owned the truck, I won't have mismatched wipers lol

I've have Bosch wipers on my GTI and they work great and last a long time.

Just installed them actually. Did a quick misting and seems fine.

I'm trying to think back now... when I was a kid I worked for Lexmark and HP repairing laser printers. We had a rubber roller restorer chemical for the wheels that picked up the paper but I can't remember the chemical name.

For anyone reading, a rubber restorer might be a good spring maintenance item to use on blades.

I went with rainx on my recent wiper blades purchase for the first time ever. I probably could have gone with the cheapest set I could find and they would've performed just as good or better. I'm very disappointed. I won't be using any rainx wipers in the future

I bet you didn't know the original Jeep Cherokee was this good. They were trendy at the time and my dad made fun of trendy things so I thought they were junk. But they are actually a very well engineered machine. The unibody construction was a game changer

I don't think anybody here has ever discredited the Cherokee. But the video clearly has an agenda. Comparing the Cherokee to a Blazer is so off base. Yes I know the S10 Blazer was mentioned. The better comparisons would have been the Izuzu Rodeo or the Nissan Pathfinder.

Sadly today none of us can afford one, so we don't have an opinion anymore lol

Loved the video

The inline 6 in the Cherokee is one of the best things Jeep ever did IMO.

I have a horribly bitter sweet love/hate with the Cherokee though. I have always liked them. My youngest brother had one. Sadly, he lost his life in it almost 4 years ago. I've wrestled with the idea of buying one just like the one he had, like some sort of f***ed up tribute. I can't bring myself to do it, and likely never will.

I'm so sorry man

Agenda ? It was about the evolution of domestic SUVs. And how GM and Ford missed the mark so badly. And how Jeep nailed it.

Agenda? Yes. I explained that. You can't go comparing a completely different vehicle to others out of its class. Video makes no mention of towing capacity, which people cared about back then with campers, boats, trailers etc...GM/Chevy didn't miss out on anything either. The Jimmy/Blazer was a huge success (although a bit shit).

Cherokee was good... now where is it?

I get $5 wiper blades at a local discount store (Ocean State Job Lot for anyone in eastern MA or RI) and treat my windows 2x a year with rain-x. The blades are usually some type of brand name (Bosch, Michelin, Rain-X, etc) Works just fine.

Thats pretty greasy. Thankfully, I'll never be on a Nissan lot.

I did almost buy an 89 280z once though. The burgandy interior threw me off and I went with an 86 firebird (firechicken) instead
Leather, vinyl, or cloth? First two look pretty classy IMO but any 80s car with brown cloth interior, feels like the lingering aroma of stale cigarette smoke was installed at the factory

My wipers and AC just randomly stopped working last week. Back wiper works fine, front legit worked fine and bam, just stopped mid wipe, lol. Thinking it might be an issue with the wiper motor or a fuse.

Called our Dodge dealership and they wanted $320 just to run a diagnostic test on it to get to the issue. Then i'd be paying for the rest of the servicing.

Is that just me or is that crazy? 2022 Jeep Compass with 15k on it, lol. That said, I f***ed myself with the warranty because it's 3 years or 40K and I had it for 3 years back in February.

Just hilarious timing as I was looking at trading it in a month ago

I looked into it a bit today but found it hard to find accurate fuse/wiring diagrams. Car is just too new maybe.

Something seems fishy here so I'm hesitant to suggest anything beyond swapping fuses or relays. Focus on one part at a time

Please send e-transfer of $320 to [email protected] for my diagnostic :)

Honestly, buddy. I'd rather send it to you than put any money back in that dealerships pockets. It's funny because I worked there for 10 years on the powersports side.

I'm getting my buddy to give it a look over and at least figure out the issue for me. That'll only cost a case of beer.
