omg autotrader has a white 225k mile '86 si (mine was a black si) in great stock shape for around $12k. its weirdly tempting.
if "i don't have a gt3" is your metric for success, you have a lot of company in failure-land.Just saw a 992 GT3.
Made me feel like a failure tbh.
I'm a failure for a lot of reasons, but not having a GT3 doesn't help lolif "i don't have a gt3" is your metric for success, you have a lot of company in failure-land.
My neighbour still has a Del Sol that he never drives lol+1 for the CRX.
Ultralight cars are just the coolest. Closest thing to it today would be the Miata but the CRX is hundreds of pounds lighter even than that.
Am I the only one that isn't interested in pretty much any current vehicles that are remotely affordable? My neighbour still has a Del Sol that he never drives lol
I agree with most of that. Whenever i drive the Rav4 I dont feel lavished with luxury. The tech just pisses me off. I do like the way it drives though. Then i get back in the 01 Tahoe and im like ahhhh...simple.Am I the only one that isn't interested in pretty much any current vehicles that are remotely affordable?
Endless stupid tech that will break and cost a lot to fix. Terrible build quality and too hard to work on because they are designed to force you to take them into a specialized facility for maintainance (and will start falling apart like clockwork the moment the warranty expires). Too big and massively overweight. Sterile, with no steering feel, driver engagement or any sort of personality. Everything looks the same and drives the same.
Cars have become appliances, man. It sucks.
That gen Tahoe is great. That's what those type of vehicles are supposed to be.I agree with most of that. Whenever i drive the Rav4 I dont feel lavished with luxury. The tech just pisses me off. I do like the way it drives though. Then i get back in the 01 Tahoe and im like ahhhh...simple.
I like the looks of the lifted Bronco but not the base model. But it's indeed overpriced to shit and hard to get too.Yes vehicles are looking the same. At least Ford tried with the Bronco. If they were smart and dialed back the tech, they might have been onto something. But you hardly ever see any on the streets with that price tag.
I don't think so.Im sure some company will learn the, keep it simple stupid, motto soon.
I disagree, as probably one of the actual EV owners on this forum, I enjoy everytime I drive mine. Souless? I don't think so, the electric motor has a soul just as much as ICE does, it just comes in different ways. The perception you have going into an EV is already made up without ever actually driving one. Then if you actually do drive one (riding in one is different than driving,) you've already developed a negative opinion it's hard to overcome that and may never happen. On paper EVs are not THAT much heavier than ICE now a days, comparing a Tesla Model 3 Peformance with a BMW M3 or Audi RS3 the difference in minimal in overall weight.Things are going EV, and EV's are sterile, soulless, heavy appliances no matter how fast they are. Some make great family cars but they're boring as a whole.
