If we retained, the return better be a hell of a lot better than a late 1st.

With Kane coming back and Savoie show some flashes, I don't think a top 6 forward should be a priority for the Oilers, especially at that price. 2RD and 1A/1B goalie should still be the priority. However, it would not shock me to see the Oilers do something stupid like that, which would be better than what I actually expect to happen which is nothing at all.

I'm honestly shocked, Rakell has had a few down seasons, and I hadn't been following his stats. Great time to sell, now that he's playing at his peak.
Oilers would have to pay to dump Arvidsson! Unless the Oilers eat 40% of his cap…

I mean, he had 28 goals and 60 points the year before last.
Anaheim's center situation was dire for years before he left - a beat-to-hell Getzlaf and "prime" Zegras, neither of which are exactly world beaters. Since he's been a Penguin and had high end centers to play with, he had one down year - when he was admittedly playing through injury.
He's a complementary winger who can play both sides well, score roughly 30 goals and 60 points when paired with an elite center, and provide solid defense.
Edmonton doesn't have the center depth to dump Henrique. His offence dried up quickly but he's still a main PK C with RNH the other. Henrique is 7th in even strength ice time and 2nd for forwards on the PK. He's more valuable than just points. Certainly not a guy we are looking to cap dump.
We aren't doing a deal like this. We lose next year 1st (without having a 2025 1st), our top prospect (who's looking near NHL ready), further deplete our center depth all to upgrade one winger position from Arvidsson to Rakell? I have zero interest in moving our few valuable assets without addressing goaltending or the D core. I say this liking Rakell. I'd love to add him but asset wise, we can't do this.

Rakell and Arvidsson produce at similar rates, are the same age, with Arvidsson making less and not signed into his mid 30s. I totally get that Rakell is having a much better season, recency bias shouldn’t cost that much.
