I don't care at all whether Shelton is trying to send some kind of message to Cruz. He is one of the only bats who can impact the game and get us a win.

He needs to be deployed as a pinch hitter at some point vs a RHP reliever, preferably early on, before we get to the better leverage arms in their pen. It's one thing to maybe have him out vs Cease, but we can't mess around if there is any opportunity to do damage.
