I agree about the penalties. And he definitely moves better than Harpur. He will likely need more time. Defense is always more fickle.

Pockets of excitement but he doesn’t really generate anything. Goodrow and Vesey are better RW options.

Putting it harshly: possibly the only player in the game to have zero impact on it.

Being serious, he just seems too weak and 1 step slow. It's like how I would have figured he would look if we tried to play him right after his draft year. But perhaps he will get some games and with more games get some comfort going.

Better roster than that one by a lot now with Tarasenko. Much better star power, only slightly worse depth. As much as I got on Hank, I trust him more though than Shesterkin at this point.

Nah, some of those early 2000s teams had a heap of Russians on them. Maybe 05-06 after the Ozolish trade? Or just pre-lockout when most of our D was Russian at some point?

I thought tonight’s game was the usual from Kravtsov.

Nothing glaring either way, just kind of there.

He should still get to play every night until the deadline though. I feel like that line would be better suited with a high motor guy and he just isn’t that. I’d kill to have a prime Hagelin on that line right now.
