So Brady's buddy gets the job, we'll see how this goes.
Very little experience to be suddenly running his own program. But, HC money is life changing, so wouldn't be surprised for anyone to take it if offered.Liam Coen to the Raiders then?
Yeah, he is and he could do well as GM. I'm a bit skeptical about how much of an actual search they did with only interviewing 5 people but even if he did get the job through cronyism he wouldn't be the first to succeed after doing so. There's been plenty of good coaches/execs who got a headstart from nepotism or cronyism but proved themselves to be legit. To be fair, Spytek is well regarded around the league.

I think Pete Carroll's the favourite and I don't mind that idea. He could bring some stability for a few years and get them pointed in the right direction hopefully.Naw, he’s back in Tampa.
I cringe at switching up HC, unless the GM has done a great job of acquiring talent and can structure contracts correctly.I think Pete Carroll's the favourite and I don't mind that idea. He could bring some stability for a few years and get them pointed in the right direction hopefully.
That's a good point about switching coaches. Ideally, they'd have a coordinator ready to takeover who won't change things up much if they're already doing well. That's easier said than done though.I cringe at switching up HC, unless the GM has done a great job of acquiring talent and can structure contracts correctly.
Always worried about a regime change resulting in massive overhaul of the scheme. 4/3 to 3/4. Man to zone in the secondary. Need to have the right players for it.
Might be the right move to bring in some stability. Can Pete make the same kind of changes as Quinn did. He basically went with Kliff and let him run the O.
