It’s a Walrus!!!Is he finally duncan the walrus size?
Ridiculous.
It’s a Walrus!!!Is he finally duncan the walrus size?
It’s not just age…
Staal having the most 5v5 TOI this game and insisting on playing Martinook in the top six is mind boggling. I’d like to see Daniels gone.
and unfortunately when you don’t have a true 2c he gets forced into more minutes because Rod doesn’t trust Kuzy or KKStaal can still contribute as a 4C/PKer role. But the issue is RBA will never use him in that role.
2 posts early in 3rd hurt.
2 grade A chances in slot that Igor saved early in 3rd hurt.
Freddy stumbling (yet again) on 1st goal for them hurt.
Freddy not being quick enough to cover on their 2nd goal hurt.
Really thought we had them. Was ready for a game 7 win in NY. Sigh.
He's a f***ing scrub and Brindy is a goddamn clown for not realizing it. Any other franchise that dumbf*** is on the hot seat right nowStaal can still contribute as a 4C/PKer role. But the issue is RBA will never use him in that role.
Freddie’s choking in the playoffs is a Toronto talking point because they can’t accept their team wasn’t good enough. They just blame the soft goal instead of the team blowing games he won for themKooch played one game the entire playoffs after saving our butts by stepping up big during the regular season. Instead, we’re relying on a guy that
A: Has a history of choking in the playoffs
B: Was coming off a very long break in the regular season.
C. Had some very, very weak goals allowed in the series already
It’s not all on Freddie, but once again, we’re ending the postseason because our goalie was worse than the opposing teams. And unlike a lot of previous years, the opposing goaltender wasn’t playing out of his mind.
Totally agree. And he's getting a pass for taking the penalty that buried the team in a do or die game in the 3rd period. If it was someone else, the narrative would be you can't be taking penalties in that situation, but for Staal, hey let's blame Freddie for letting in the PP goal caused by Staal's penaltyStaal is a washed up has been. That Game 5 goal was the last ounce of competitive play he had left
Kooch wasn’t great, but he wasn’t bad. There was really no reason to go right back to Andersen, he wasn’t helping the team to win… Something going on behind the scenes in practice or off the ice might explain it, or maybe Rod is just stubborn and deferred to the vet, because he is Rod. I’d just like some more clarity… both goaltenders were doing well in a rotation, why did we change that formulation, and not go back to it when the other thing wasn’t working?Kooch wasnt good. Folks here act like these coaches don’t see these players in practice to see how mechanics are going
Easy to point to Rod but who are you gonna replace him with. There’s no other coach out there that’s better lolHe's a f***ing scrub and Brindy is a goddamn clown for not realizing it. Any other franchise that dumbf*** is on the hot seat right now

It’s a walrus, come on!Is he finally duncan the walrus size?
Yea and his team has a history of not performing in important games tooSo what you’re saying is that he has a history of letting in soft goals in important games?
You have anything to back that statement up?Teams don’t do rotation in the playoffs because it doesn’t work
If your goalies are playing every 4 days most of the season, no reason they shouldn’t be used to it in the playoffs.Teams don’t do rotation in the playoffs because it doesn’t work
Kind of but team couldn't finish the 4th goal so many clear chances breakaway everything. I cant believe it still.Freddie f***ing blew it
I'm not annoyed at all. A bit bummed, maybe, but that's it. It's a hockey game. It's not that important. I've got 99 problems, but the hcanes ain't one.shouldn't be this annoyed when they were playing for a miracle comeback in the series but god damn
I definitely want Rod back. But I can also admit he made some big mistakes this year. Is what it is.Easy to point to Rod but who are you gonna replace him with. There’s no other coach out there that’s better lol
Yea. Boston or any other teamYou have anything to back that statement up?
Why would that work in the playoffs? Totally different animals. If your goalies are playing every 4 days most of the season, no reason they shouldn’t be used to it in the playoffs.
