The public can't buy US dollars in Russia so the price of the ruble doesn't really have any impact to the average consumer. Also prices of most goods have gone up 30-50% but the wages have remained the same. However, the store shelves are still stocked with many of these goods that are under sanctions and right now the typical Russian grocery store has more food on the shelves it than in North America and is still cheaper even with the price increases. It's really funny how a bottle of Canadian or American wine or liquor is cheaper in Russia than it is here. Makes you think a little as to how much we're being gouged.

Woah. How did that reverse so sharply?

It's artificial, you can't actually buy dollars with rubles right now (maybe on the black market, but the exchange rate there is considerably different).

Has AK Bars seen him play recently?

In all seriousness good for him. Guys been a warrior and great NHLer. His body will thank him for less games and easier competition

This doesn't sound right. He wasn't great last season, but he sure as hell could've found a GM to pay him more than that.

By "most goods" you likely mean most imported goods, as for the locally produced prices have gone up by something like 15-20% on average.

This USD and EUR buying restriction was lifted like 2 months ago, might be that some large amount restrictions still remain there, this isn't something that I'm aware of. Somehow I see people in this thread assuming that Radulov would actually need to make a RUB-to-USD conversion, but why would he need that if he is likely staying in Russia and will be making his spendings in RUB anyway. If only to make an investment, but I doubt that in current world situation it is a good idea to invest in any currency at all.

As I mentioned on the previous page, the NHL equivalent considering taxes and everything would be like 2.8M USD per year, I don't think any GM is crazy enough to offer him that.
