Did you bonk your head?

Forget Bonk.

Another former Ottawa Senator, Radek HAMR, is the best Radek of all-time. He truly lived up to his name. A physical beast who would hit everything in sight and had a blistering slap-shot. When he put the hamr down, the ice would crack.

He's actually one of the only two players I have something autographed from. Him and Petr Nedved were the only booths open when my family went to an Oilers autograph session back in the day when I was a wee lad.

I always liked him since then. Good career, hope he enjoys retirement.

Nice career, cup finalist in his rookie season with FLA, then again ten years later. He was due for a trip back if he would have stuck around til next year.

590 points as a forward, and only cracked 20 goals twice. That's the dead puck era for you.

Well that just sound impractical.

I used to call him Mr. Hit The Post.

He had some bad luck when he was an Oiler. It kind of made him more likeable because you knew his stats didn't do him justice.

I remember when he was drafted. It was the first draft I ever watched on TV. The Bruins selected Kyle McLaren. Doesn't seem that long ago. But 1200 games wow. LIke someone else said - Maybe the quietest 1200 game career ever.

Congrat on the career though.

He's one of my all-time favorite players as he was with the Panthers twice and long-term. He gave every shift his all and was excellent on the penalty kill.

He's also the last player from the 1996 Panthers Eastern Conference Champions team to hang them up.

Good luck with with retirement, Dvo!

Ed Jovonovski is still not technically retired. I think, at least.
