Ultimately, you go with what's working. We're winning games with the lineup we have, so it's unlikely that that lineup will change. It's especially unlikely we'll throw a rookie (no matter how highly touted he may be) in the lineup, just to give him a shot. The playoffs aren't the time to do that. In the playoffs, you want 4 wins in a series as quick as possible. So even if you're up in a series, you push the same lineup to get that final win, not say "Oh, well, nows the perfect time to put someone in, because we're good even if we lose." As we've seen over the years, a 3-1 or even 3-0 series lead can quickly become uncomfortable for the leading team

Not saying you are wrong or that I disagree with you however, you have seen highlights, game clips, and possibly full KHL games of his. Rod has seen him live, in person, and practicing the Canes system. It's entirely possible he's not gotten a nod yet because he is not fully grasping the system, and we have seen how that plays out in this system when defenders don't fully grasp it.

I suspect language may play a part in Rods hesitancy to play Boom right now. Throwing in someone new to the system is one thing. Throwing in someone new to the system who can't effectively communicate with his teammates would seem to take it to another level.

Gotta wonder if he spoke English if that would increase the chances of Rod playing him. We've got Orlov but they're both lefties, and I doubt Rod would want to split up Orlov and Chatty anyways.

Odds are none of those guys (not incl. Nikishin, Morrow) ever wind up in our top 4, frankly. I personally am not amazed by any of their development so far. Of course it's still early and I hope I'm wrong but my view as it stands right now is they all remain blindfolded dart throws.
I think you're underselling some of the prospects, but I do agree, they are all dart throws. However, Nystrom, Forsmark, and Grudinin have already played well against men in the higher leagues. Not saying that they will even make the NHL, but those 3 particular darts are interesting IMO.
