Good shot aside, With other forward covered, Shouldnt have Freddie been further out and covered that gap?

Probably, but as Pronger pointed out, Protas went 10-2 into a passing position, it’s tough for a goalie to see how close Walker is to the other forward and keep his eye on the puck.
