I’m not sure I would have given it under competitive circumstances.

I think the score is a factor and I don’t mind that. No excuse for that quality of a tackle by a professional.

Reckless at best, dangerous at worst.
Yeah, I can see that point,

Metzelder was a world class defender before his career was upset by a series of injuries.

In a way it's good that happened. You wouldn't want someone to be a legend and then they get found with child porn. He admitted to it too.

Really? I think he was decent. From the bitchin' I read, I'd assume the worst reffing was Portugal France.
The second goal should really not have counted and the red was ridiculous. Moore was allowed to be kicked around without the referees doing anything. But Denmark would have won anyway probably

In circumstances like that, I think it's better for refs to err on the harsh side & protect players. I get being frustrated, but you can't lash out at the guys who are besting you without punishment.
Yeah, as said I can see it. But that was not a hard foul and he just got subbed in. As said, I get why he was doing it. A stupid, stupid foul with no chance at the ball.

Kinda similar to the Russia game, quiet start but once the engine got going there was no looking back. Impressive second half. Could see this ending in a Belgium v Denmark rematch in the final ;)

So do any danish fans still think that their team should've abandoned the tournament as an FU to UEFA? They've been playing great since regrouping for game 2 and are arguably the "form team" of the tournament right now. You never how far that kind of adrenaline can carry a good talent base. I kinda like them...in the next round.

Edited because I'm an idiot

Worst referee performance I’ve seen at this tournament. The referees have generally been great in comparison to in the Prem but this has been embarrassing
Not even close to the worst - You just really don’t like Denmark winning.

Wish Sweden all the best.

Gotta make the final to play Italy. They play Netherlands/Czechia next.

Harsh red, but he was a damn fool to do that.

Not a red but I can see why he gave it, it seemed like he purposely went in with no intent to win the ball

You can give it, but I still think it was a little harsh.

On replay that's not a red, but in real time that looked reckless. Can't do something like that right after conceding a 0-3 late and not expect the ref to worry that the game is starting to spiral out of control.

Yeah. Not normally a red, but given the circumstances, I think that's good refereeing.

Yeah, replay made it look better but he was nowhere near the ball and the player he fouled had just scored. I think the red was the right call given the circumstances. If it's a close game it's not a red, but then Wilson never makes that tackle in a close game either.
