Quinton Byfield disgusting goal

Also magic because the man is dual-wielding hockey sticks. With his obviously having taken the Ambidextrous feat, it grants him a +2 to damage.
I get this reference. I appreciate the level of nerd.

With one hand, he yanked it away from his bottom hand and pulled it up 5 feet into the air lol.
Which ties back to what we both said - Wright let himself be bullied. We're probably talking in circles, but I'm blaming Wright more than the refs for not calling it.

What was Wright trying to do that QB stopped him from doing?

Honestly I'm not sure Shane even knew he had a stick, he was too busy gawking!
Wright??? we should start calling him Wrong after that play!

Not that, I just thought saying to one of the more sophisticated Oilers fan on this board “you can’t read” was a bit uncalled for

Maybe, but so many here are trying to argue that I'm saying he wasn't holding the stick, I thought it was kind of obvious what I am arguing, that it's not a penalty unless there is an advantage taken, (there wasn't) or it's dangerous (it wasn't)

You said this "But something as egregious as pulling it up parallel to the ice" so in order to pull something UP to Parallel to the ice, where does he have to reach or are you arguing that Wright was holding his stick far above his head.

(miscommunication)this is what I mean by “pulling up the stick parallel to the ice above wrights shoulders.

He didn’t grab it off the ice or anything crazy but he grabbed it out of wrights hand and the momentum pulled it up this high. That’s how I interpreted the video. You don’t have to. Crazy goal. I don’t mind that it counted only that I can’t ignore this when talking about GOTY or something similar

Okay I’ll be that guy.

It’s sick. But I think the biggest factor is luck. He’s likely going for a tip there and it happens to make solid contact and drop where he can reach it with one hand.

I’m not saying I’m not impressed. I’m just saying it’s worth considering the intention if we’re going to praise the skill.

Got it, and Wright is losing the advantage by.........watching the play....which is what I keep arguing, he's not trying to do anything, it's not getting called in the NHL at this level, with that level of engagement, if he was yanking his stick back and trying to engage, trying to do anything, that's a different story and a missed call, him standing there watching everything, isn't a missed anything, it's the same as arguing a push off in front of the net as a cross check.

100% luck, but he made that luck by being at the right place, right time and following up with it,

Well, learn to read please, it's not Byfield wasn't holding the stick, it's that's not a penalty in the NHL.
I was talking about the penalty, which is why I capitalized Holding the Stick. As for not being a penalty, well, maybe you think that because there's never been one so hilariously egregious that it can be compared to.

Ripped it out of his hands and lifted it 5 feet in the air?

I WISH Byfield was as Byfuglien as you guys make it sound in this thread

This is some William Wallace fireballs out of his arse hyperbole

You need to be byfuglien to hold up a stick in the air? Wright was weak on his stick I’ll give you that

I wouldn't say it was GOTY, but it is both hilarious and awesome that it counted because it is a cool goal despite the obvious penalty. It was a standard stick hold that every single player would try to get away with to make a goal happen. In the end, Seattle still won the game and it was cool goal that got away with one.

That deflection was insane.

What's more insane is the refs didn't call a penalty on him.
