Fine, next time there's a 2-on-1 and guy shoots himself, I'll make sure to post the coast-to-coast highlight video.
:help: Phrasing...

Though I agree based on distance this is more from the Great Lakes to the Pacific.

Love Hughes but when I watch this I wonder where the f*** is the D ? He skated unencumbered out of his own zone then through the neutral zone, gains the blue line and there are still no Pens in sight? Did they leave for the dressing room or where are they? shockingly the D just keeps backing up, zero gap control, he makes one nice move on the forward Rust who seems a bit flat footed, but nothing outstanding and places a nice shot. Greaves didn’t really defend him? It was a 3 on 3 play where the D and the forward didn’t engage until they were below the face off dots in their own zone and even then I wouldn’t say the D man never engaged at any point?

That D looked full beer league.

Hughes is a great player but I couldn’t watch this and not see how pathetic the Pens looked on this play.

Coast to coast just means from one end to the other, it has nothing to do with weaving through defenders.
Not really, maybe technically, but when someone says coast to coast, you expect to watch a play where a guy skates end to end and beats a few players along the way.

The term just means going from one end to the other and scoring with an individual effort. What happens between isn’t really relevant. Now to say Hughes goes coast to coast for this goal
Is a pretty big stretch
