Quick stupid question regarding automobile.

If my aircon on my car is kaput, can I run heat, defrost etc in the winter?

I know this is a dumb question...........

It's an old 2009 Chevy Cobalt that I'm running into the ground (aka until I can't from A to B anymore without major repairs)

Yes.

You can also recharge your air with 134a. It shouldn't ever leak, so something else is wrong there, but you can recharge it to get thru the summer.
