I don't think he wins it, but it would be funny if this was the year when Quick, Doughty, and Kopitar all won these awards.

No way Holtby loses. Happy to see Quick get a nod though especially with all the minerals we're gonna mine from it.

Thought Crawford would've been there instead of Quick, but this is a pleasant surprise. He won't win, but it's worth it for the ensuing whining that will come.

oh man, the internet outrage over Quick should be hiliarous.

I would have gone with Crawford over him but at least it's a sign that the GMs are paying attention to stuff other than raw save percentage, like workload, team effects, etc

Set the Kings record for wins in a season. Most shutouts by an American. Then after the Kings clinched, the team took a dump for the rest of the season. Unfortunate.

5 games on national television showed all the main boarders that the system isn't as good as they were hyping. Now Quick has evolved into a reputation goalie.

Kings players sure didn't do themselves any favors with that first round.

His case:

"Quick led all NHL goaltenders in appearances (68), starts (68) and minutes (4,034), and ranked second in wins (40), fifth in saves (1,671) and tied for fifth in shutouts (5) in 2015-16. He became the first Kings goaltender to reach 40 wins in a season, breaking his own club record (39, 2009-10). The Milford, Conn., native recorded his 41st career shutout March 14 at Chicago, passing Frank Brimsek (Eveleth, Minn.) and John Vanbiesbrouck (Detroit, Mich.) – both with 40 – for the most by a U.S.-born goaltender in NHL history. Quick is a Vezina finalist for the second time after a second-place finish in 2011-12."

Sad thing is the main board is talking how Quick doesn't deserve it. When they should be celebrating who does.

No idea why people get so worked up over this. Honestly who cares ?

Quick had a pretty good season.

Quick - Vez finalist
Doughty - Norris finalist
Kopitar - $elke finalist
