Somewhere Up North
Hi everyone, sorry if this thread doesn't belong here, but I had a question that I hope someone on here could light some answers for me.

I have a friend from Germany coming down to visit Edmonton between July 20 - August 20, and he is a big Oilers fan. He would love to see Rogers Place as one of our many stops in the city (I got a huge list already planned to do for the whole month as I have lived here my whole life), but I was wondering if Rogers Place does any Tours of the facility, or at least, allow us to go in the Ford Hall? He really wants to see the Arena, and if I could find a way to bring him in to see it, that'd be great. Also, if anyone has any Oilers related places to visit or events happening during the month, feel free to share them! I'm all ears!

If he’s a big and long time Oiler
Fan, he/she might want to see the House Gretzky built over at Northlands Coliseum before it gets bulldozed, the outdoor building murals over in the area as well. Sketchy area, go in daylight. Only significant they were a fan in the glory days. There is also the outdoor Stanley Cup located over at United Cycle.

As for Rogers, if you can’t make an Oiler game, maybe at least you can take in an Oil Kings game. There is a link for tours, not sure it’s current or not…

As for other attractions, many other things to do in Edmonton and area that are
Non Oilers related. It just depends on what your interests and time availability are.

Yeah unfortunately, he's coming between July 20 and August 20, so that's why I was wondering what other Oilers/hockey themed things to do around the city or if I can get into Rogers Place. I did see the Classic Tours, and I HOPE they do it throughout the summer, but I wasn't sure on that. We plan to go to K-Days, so we will plan to walk by Rexall Place for sure.

He plans to stay a full month, so I got lots of things I want to do (going to Elks game on Aug 2, See a RiverHawks game, see a Stingers game, go to WEM for like a week since there is so much to see and do there, etc.)
