Doesn't the NHL have a by-law which prevents a team from having an ownership situation similar to the Green Bay Packers where the fans own the team? I seem to recall someone wanting to do this with the Islanders and the NHL stepping in and putting an end to the idea b/c the by-laws didn't allow it - does someone have the specifics on this or was I just dreaming it happened?
