From the SenaPred alliance to the SenaDique alliance? I guess we are still suffering a little ptsd and sensitivity over possibly losing our franchise. Hard to believe a confident market would be so outraged over a marketing move. Hard to imagine a businessman choosing to leave Ottawa for Quebec city. That would have to be quite the business plan. If only the fans could find the confidence they are wishing on our players.
They lost that this summer anyways imo.

We connected on being ignored not hot market franchises, but they went out and spent this summer attracting big UFA's with Trotz openly talking about the no state tax advantages partially leading to that. Doesn't feel that same after that.

way more beyond him.. did he even comment on this
No not here. But seeing our jersey split in half with another jersey makes me f***ing sick.

If this was Europe the stadium office would have been stormed today.

That was a massive joke and all we need is ammo for those people to talk about relocation.

No respect for pur jersey. No surprise either andlauer is a Habs fan and clearly a Quebec fan.

Honestly didn't know how to feel when I first heard the news. Love the idea of playing preseason there and making extra bucks. Don't like the idea of losing regular season games or becoming some sort of hybrid team that plays for two cities.

I can 100% appreciate the communications from this team. Could you imagine Melnyk sending someone to calm the waters with fanbase the same day there is this much resentment?

I’m also not sure what we have to do with that province. Like who the f*** are they to us? Nothing. Zero. f*** em.

Us playing there is doing them a f***ing favor. And that’s how it should be framed.

Not this like “oh we are all brothers under the flag” bs.

When we go there will they change all their signs to have English translations so that our non Francophones will understand?

Sens’ broadcast region includes the entire province of Quebec. A viewer from there is just as valuable to TSN as a viewer from Ottawa. Not sure how much it will work since I don’t really see why someone from Eastern Quebec would care about the Sens, but I get what they’re trying to do. Could do without the over-the-top pandering though.

So TSN is already doing the job then. Making our games accessible to them.

I care not for andlauers place of birth or whatever provincial nationality he is. He’s now the owner of the Ottawa senators.

Yeah well leeder should step down

LOL .

Big deal!

Relax!

Mendes is communications boss… it went across everyone’s desk.

Total overreaction

Maybe too far, but the reaction of some fans is ridiculously insane.

Okay so. Revamp.

Life is a place to fight for liberal ideals.

Sports is a place for fascismo

All I know is, I'm in my mid 50s now, and all I want is to see a Sens game downtown before I retire (and not in the Civic Centre). Can we at least accomplish that one little thing? Please?

Pretty ham handed announcement and even worse “clarification” by Leeder on TSN1200 today.

What did they think the reaction would be? Nobody blinks when teams play preseason games in other cities, except usually, the announcement is made in a hohum press release.

But the Sens flew out the owner and Thomas Chabot to a city that has made no secrets about being ready and willing to accept a relocated NHL team, dressed their mascot in that city’s former franchise’s jersey, implied that they’re open to hosting regular season games there, and then blasted it across social media.

Did they really think the fans in Ottawa would applaud? And then Leeder goes on the radio and wonders why people are talking about this and not the two wins on the weekend… It’s because you made it such a big deal dumdum!

So much for these guys having savvy and a good pulse on the local market. I’d say it was “worst-in-class”. I can’t imagine the Habs, Leafs, Oilers, Flames, etc every doing something like it.
