USA can win this on the rushes. Slovakia has outshot and outposessed everyone incl Finland and Sweden, but can lose on the rushes getting outskated on the backcheck.

The US I think overall is trying to be too cute...there's been a few cases if they just threw it on net they'd probably have scored but probably making too many extra passes

I feel the USA are playing at a blinding pace..Slovakia are still just one shot away but have nothing like the pace the USA have. The teams that took veterans ... not happening here.. kids, speed, skill..

Indeed but unfortunately there is no better Slovaks available. Besides maybe Lantosi and Liska. We don’t have the disposal of choosing either NCAA or Euro players. Personally I wouldn’t have mind seeing Jedlicka here for Slovaks over Dano. But there is some weird obsession with the latter, even when he’s terrible

Slovakia probably has to win it in the 3rd...I feel with the short turn and the fact the game is fast paced they'll start losing their legs if this goes past regulation

5 on 3 power play for the States, can really put this game away with a goal here.

I thought it was a smart play, but had a feeling they would call delay of game there. Saw a similar penalty in the women's games.

I mean I wouldn't exactly count Slovakia as a team that took veterans. Not as young as US sure, but it's still like the 3rd youngest team at the tournament.

Russia plays Denmark (again) in the 1/4 final. For the DEN and RUS this will to be a tough game. Tougher than the previous one. Both teams know each other. DEN is on the rise after the group stage and additional game. RUS had some ups and downs in the last game so their win isn't obvious.
