It was pretty much a perfect period. They took two penalties but both of them were huge flukes. Only shot against was from outside the blueline.

I hoped, Canada would get lazy because of their dominance, but unfortunately they are putting some effort into their defense whenever necessary. So my hopes are not really alive anymore ... more like zombies

Germany is in pretty decent shape for the future though, you just need to add some depth around Drai and Grubauer.

Didn't see all of their games. Think I've seen like four but it sure is one of their better games. But you could expect them to go in with a completly different intensity into the play offs, so the tournament actually just starts in the playoffs. Canadians hardly gave it their all in the group stage

In Germany everything is about soccer. It's more likely to see a 3rd league soccer game on TV than a top level ice hockey game, let alone a young team. There's no love for hockey regarding public promotion and funding.
