Kempe looks NHL ready to me, looking forward to see him maybe get a callup this year.

So, there's the revenge from last year.

Think I switch focus to Fin-Can now.

Well played game Sweden never the less.

Just hope we heal and don't catch any more weird injuries now before the semis.

Have the refs been this picky in all games or only Swedens? Some of these penalties are just silly

That was a weird goal. Feel bad for the goalie who's been great this game.

If Ollas left the arena, I believe the injury is severe....

He was limping out, he was sent for an X-ray regardless. If it's lucky, he just got a bruised knee. I don't think he had a torn ACL, he would've been in greater pain after the impact.

I muste say im impressed by the Slovakia goalkeeper player of the game hands down!

Have made some insane saves.

Imo Slovakia's biggest problem seems to be pace. They don't make plays under pressure.

It's more than that, it's everything; skating, speed, technique, reading plays, positioning... But yeah, Slovakia are disrupted from even accomplishing basic plays. As soon as the Swedes lose the puck, the backchecking is relentless all over the ice and the Slovakian players can't handle it. Slovakia has some decent players, but the slope from there is steep.

Many of the Swedish juniors play in SEL and it shows. They're already established elite players.

Exactly, we lack absolutely everything.
