It DID NOT!! You were wrong! It went from 5 on 4 to 5 on 4. Watch the game. It was an off setting call. They were going to go down to 5 on 3 and then didn't. It had ZERO effect on the run of play. They were only on the power play because Jake put them there.

There have been some brutal mistakes here. The hickey slip for a goal, the give away but with 11 seconds to go to give up the 2-1 goal after such a brutal giveaway and GKing was by far the biggest. This penalty we had 8 pages complaining about was absolutely a nothing event in the game other than a lost opportunity to go 3 on 3. Stupid, YES! But did nothing to the game

There was already a pending call to Finland when Virtanen took his penalty.

He cost them a two man advantage for no reason at all.

Particularly since you are SUPPOSED to let the other team take the puck in that situation.
