Come on, Radivojevič skated well into open Area as puck moving D should, but no forward took his place on the blue lineYep, this. Dvorsky, a center was the one who backchecked and defended there, ridiculous, where was the D?
No kicking motion, just a sliding skateIt was kicked. And if the officials review a play why the hell aren't they looking at everything.
It was close or they wouldn't have taken so long.. They could have just called it off for a kicking motion. No it wasn't.
They checked one thing at a time, they can only work within the parameters like ”was it a kick” and ”was goalie interefered”. Not allowed to check anything else.I wouldn't have minded at all if they ruled it no goal after the first long check, they just seem like total clowns now for first ruling it a goal and then no goal right after
What is the rule in international hockey. Distinct kicking motion? No kicking motion, just a sliding skate
We like to keep it old school. At the intermission Kekäläinen said this rink doesn't have the modern glasses that bend and protect players. It's very weird to me that IIHF doesn't mandate those for this kind of tournament. Even in broke finnish Liiga they are mandatory, there must be like 200 arenas in Canada with those installed and still they play with some old barn with concrete boards and bulletproof glass.

Teppo Numminen said that in Calgary olympics they "played in the old cow palace where boards were 2 meters tall and made of concrete".We like to keep it old school.
