Such a weird period. Look wise and shot wise, it was even. Finland scores 2 on individual mistakes named Strabak and one on a powerplay that looked much worse than the Slovak one.
Not only looked worse, Finns PP was tied for worst in the tournament before this game IIRC. Helenius has now done nothing but held the puck for 10minutes at the half boards, maybe give that spot to Rautiainen who has actually been decent at that spot in Liiga this year and move Helenius to bumper?

He's not going to go in the 1st round though.
Reminds to be seen, if he keeps up what he has been doing in Liiga this year, i wouldn't put it past some team to get a lottery ticket late in the 1st.

Even if he has an amazing rest of the season, i see it highly unlikely he gets drafted in the first round, late 2nd round is the highest i can see him go as an overager, 3rd to 4th round wouldn't surprise me at all.

Ok saw the Slovak commentators do a slow mo analysis of the 2nd goal, and I take it back, it's not on Strbak but on a failed unnecessary forecheck and a resulting odd man rush. Basically what was said on this board, Slovaks playing really bad D as a team.

What a 1st period for Finland.
I didn't expect this type domination but i take 3-0 lead right now.

But unfortunately this game is not over yet 40 minutes still left and anything can happen.
The most important thing for Finland is now that they keep scoring
and don't stop playing and start securing ''easy win''.

Remember last years U20 WJC bronze game vs Czechia.
Don't stop now Finland and don't get satisfied there's no ''easy wins'' in hockey.

Dvorsky's line is very dangerous all the time.
That's something what Finland needs to notice and maybe put the ''special gaurding''.

Keys to Finland's win for coming next 40 minutes.
- Don't stop playing
- Don't start secure ''easy win''
- Keep scoring
- No idiotic penalties.
- Shut down Dvorsky's line.

Yeah that's fair and propably what will happen, would just be funny to see an overager go 1st round? Has that even ever happened?

- Don't stop playing
What an innovation

Just turned tv on.. what the hell happened in the first? Finland in lead isn't surprising but 3 goals is.

Looks like a good goal for me. No interference and not a kick motion.

Dvorskys skate is near Hynninens and he moves him as well.

Yep, correct call. 100 %.
