That probably shouldn't have been a major penalty, but Bob Mackenzie seems a bit of a homer here saying that was a "centre mass hit". You can't just go scissoring the opposition at full speed, it is dangerous. If there isn't a penalty in the book for that kind of hit there should be.

The reffing is suspect (5 min major + missed high stick to the face) but Canada is making a lot of really poor decisions and deserve to be losing right now.
That 3rd goal at the end of the period was terrible. They lost the puck at the line, one defender was pinching at the same time and the counter attack ended up in the back of the net. You can't be making mistakes like that at the end of a period.

TSN panel as ignorant of the IIHF rules as the average fan. This isn't the NHL, I'm continuously shocked at how anyone expects NHL rules and NHL game management in a IIHF tournament.

The one part of the roster building I didn't like. I'm ok with the grinders and everything but these guys need a Sennecke/Cristall/Parekh as 13/14 forward 7/8 defenseman to make them scared of losing special teams time. Now what the **** is Cameron gonna do? Put Howe on the PP? Come on.
I guess Canada is to good at developing stars .....Bedard and Celebrini are still eligible to be playing for Canada.
Cowan is talented but a glory hound.make that pass and it is a completely different game.

I really do wish the hate and vitriol wasn't directed at the players with stuff like this. Like they aren't out there losing on purpose lol and it isn't their fault if they were picked on the team and they shouldn't have been either. Focus it on the adults in the room who are paid to get this shit right.
