People forget that this tournament basically made this network.

Before the WJCs they had darts on shows like TSN Pub Nite.

more like the other way around, TSN made this tournament what it was. It certainly helped TSN become bigger. This tournament was a no name barely attended tournament in the 80s, 90s and early 00's. In fact TSN grew it so much the IIHF basically had Canada hosting it every other year because no one attended it in Europe.
