Is Caufield worst defensively then he is good defensively?

He was in position. Just got his stuck caught on the Slovak player lying on the ice. If not, that puck gets cleared.

It’s a few things. He gets a lot of hype because Montreal is a big market and because of his play in the USNTDP but he’s not necessarily worth it. He turns over the puck frequently, gets bullied off the puck easily, and doesn’t really drive offense. He’s a good goal-scorer but there is a lot of doubt that he’s going to be a legit NHLer

Slovakians could use some skating coaches.

Cement boots. They have some potential when they play physical on the boards and utilize their size advantage they always have over every team, but they can’t keep up in the open ice with top teams speed and skill.

That potential 2 on 1 they had near the end of the period, it looked like #7 got stuck in mud. Opposite of giddy up and go.

Their transition game is really poor, some power skating or better technique might help, I don’t know.

Eh I thjnk Caulfield might have more physical issues than Hoff: for Florida he certainly never took the body but he was rarely physically dominated. Caulfield has had some issues with physical play that I’ve seen which might be exacerbated when going against guys like Hedman

Pretty decent over the goalie shoulder snipe. Since Caufield already failed to score on his breakaway, if he had failed to score on a US 2 man advantage, I would think he ain’t scoring at all in this game.

When it comes to this thread, it's very clear Caufield gets more hate because he's a habs prospect than he gets hype because he's a habs prospect.

He's had a mediocre tournament but he's getting shredded every time he doesn't score on a shift and any of his goals have several posters finding reasons to discredit them...

I have no doubt hes one of those players that is better in the pros than he is in the minors,, sometimes players need to be around talent that can think at their level in order to have their ultmate succes

Cole will be lined up with Koko and Suzuki on the Habs PP with Weber bombs from the point as well , the future is good
