That team actually produced some good players for us as 6 are still in the NHL today... Pastrnak, Vrana, Zacha, O. Kase, Sulak got a cup of coffee for the Wing's, Kampf and Simon. Langhammer and Hracovina are both good goalies in Europe.

If 6 guys on this current team are NHL regulars I'll be pretty surprised.

Your prediction is off by a period probably. Eg. it'll be 5-1 after 2 periods for Canada. Then it'll get ugly.lol

Ah yes, there you go. I did not remember that at all. For some reason the 2014 tournament in general is the most forgettable to me since... maybe ever. I can't quite explain it. The only things that I remember about Canada are the team being too slow, Sutter looking like he regretted returning, Drouin holding onto the puck, and Mantha and Pouliot being good. I don't think that the Czechs have beaten Canada since the early 2000s outside of that game.

This is definitely it.lol You gotta go back to Czechslovakia and the 90's... there was a 7-3 victory. So about every 2 decades we sneak in a win.haha

That team had a 16 year old McDavid and he was benched in the third period... that may be the last time he's been benched.lol Without googling I'm going to say that Canadian goalie is no longer playing.

Does this game start at 6:30 or 7:00? Can never tell if TSN throws in their pre-game show as the start time

I'm still mad it's Malik! No Klikorka isn't the end of the world as Kubicek is clearly a better Top 4 option.. still not sure about Kucerik being our minutes leader??? Hoping to see Has and Kubicek mixed in with Svozil and Jiricek (who I think has been better than Svozil).
 
Neat fact... including exhibition... Czechs have 3 wins and all 3 were by shutout! Slovakia (exhibition), Russia and Austria.

I don't want to ruin it but I could see the Czechs getting the shut out here!haha
