I'm assuming it's what they have done with Ottawa only, so I can't see Hasek being the starter

Heatley - Spezza - Alfredsson
Tkachuk - Stutzle - Hossa

Havlat - Fisher - Stone
MacArthur - Turris - Ryan
Hoffman - Norris - Batherson
Vermette - Bonk - Michalek
Zibanejad

Chara - Karlsson
Phillips - Volchenkov

Chabot - Zub
Redden - Rachunek
Methot - Meszaros
Sanderson - Kuba

Anderson
Lehner

Lalime

Bolded would be the most dominant Top-6 + Top-4 I think

I was thinking that we had some pretty good talent overall, which is sad because all we did was SCF + 2 ECF. I compared with Montreal and Toronto just to see

Pacioretty - Koivu - Kovalev
Galchenyuk - Caufield - Suzuki

Drouin - Plekanec - Ryder
Desharnais - Ribeiro - Gionta
Perreault - Danault - Gallagher

Markov - Subban
Streit - Weber

Sourray - Petry
Hamrlik - Brisebois
Gorges - Rivet

Price
Halak

Huet/Theodore

JVR - Matthews - Marner
Roberts - Sundin - Nylander

Blake - Tavares - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Bozak
Grabovski - Antropov - Tucker
Hyman - Reichel - Kulemin

Kaberle - Kubina
Rielly - Franson

McCabe - White
Phaneuf - Brodie
Gardiner

Andersen
Reimer

Joseph/Belfour

Is it just me or the Sens had comfortably more talent in those 25 years?

What I'd give to be 13-14 years old again in 2002-2003 and watching

Hossa
Havlat
Spezza
Alfie
Redden
Chara
Volchenkov
Phillips
Neil
Bonk
Fisher
Smoke
Arvedson
Schaefer

Get off the ice, throw some food in the oven, go downstairs and watch the best hockey I'd ever get the chance to watch nightly

I had a poster where they had Alfredsson, Hossa, Havlat I bought from those scholastic book fairs.

I would look up at it in awe every night and morning, the jerseys, the names, the mentality, the dominance.

Special time.

Hasek

Havlat and Hossa make this list because they both played all situations, and were 30g, point per game players who produced in the playoffs. Stone and Tkachuk are the extras, which is more of a testament to just how dynamic Havlat and Hossa were in Ottawa. One of them shifts to the left side.

On defense, it was really a choice between Methot and Phillips, and while it could have gone either way, Methot was the superior complimentary player.

In goal, if your franchise can lay claim to the most talented goalie in history, you go with it. He played Vezina calibre hockey here when he was available. That Hasek team was actually ridiculous.

This is the most Tuna thing of all the Tuna Universe.

For real though, if Emery was on this team the defence would all be playing 2 inches taller and the blue plaint would be a place to brawl not to hang your head like we’ve seen the last 7 years.

Chabot would actually have to have muscles to play in front of Emery and not look like he’s competing for the Tour de a France. The blue paint would be a war zone again and not the place where we make rookies and guys on droughts collect their cookies

Bob Kudelski 47 goals in 90 games played as a Senator.
He did that playing on the worst team in the NHL over 2 seasons.

Erik Karlsson leads the Senators single season point totals with 82 in a year by a defenseman.
He also had 74, 71, and 66 points in a season.

Then Norm McIver is next with a 63 point season in the first year of our franchise 92-93 when we only won 10 games. He achieved 63 points by a dman on one of the worst teams in the history of the NHL.
As a defenseman he blew away everyone else on the team. He was the leading point getter on the Sens that year by 15 points over forward Jamie Baker he had 48 points that year.
Now that is an unusual statistics fact.
