Quarter Century Draft?

If LT is playing I'm playing

Cool, thanks for getting us to an even 12 teams. I will give it until tomorrow morning for additional signup.

In the mean time please start picking team names/cities, I am okay if we go off-book from NHL clubs since this is a more historical thing anyway.

As it has been 100 years since the last non-NHL team won the Stanley Cup, I'll pick Victoria Cougars as my team.

Plus it sounds like a service for younger men to hire older women.

In the spirit of tariff times I will be the Hamilton Steelhawks.

What's the context for players here? Are picking prime players no matter the age they were in 2000 and beyond?

Loving the team names!

It’s players who started their career after Jan 1 2000, so someone like Sakic won’t be eligible even though he was a defining player of the 00s.

There will be room for argument based on length and impact of peak I guess, and some people will put more value on career accomplishments, but I would like voters to look at this as “best of these players on best”.

I will pick the Red Deer Rustlers, most famous for being the Junior A team that all six Sutter brothers played for on their way to the NHL.

Ahh that sucks, I was looking forward to having a line of Keith Tkachuk, Brady Tkachuk and Matthew Tkachuk. I don't care about who plays C
