Quarter Century Draft?

With the Four Nations break coming up I am guessing there will be lots of bored AF posters here. Anyone want to do a lighter version of the All Time Draft that is going on right now in the History forum? I don't know every player from the 50s and 60s etc. so maybe we follow the NHL's lead and do a "Quarter Century Draft"- any player who played their first NHL game since January 1st 2000 is eligible. You could in theory have Sedin-Sedin-Draisaitl as a line or Ovechkin-Datsyuk-Kucherov. Some fun possibilities without having to be too much of a history buff.

If interested reply below and we'll see how many people want in. I'd like to have 15 teams but could always do less, they'll just be super stacked teams. We'll then vote on who has the best team through match ups like the current game.

And I don't really know how the All Time Draft does it, especially with a player like McDavid who is still mid-career mixed with someone like Gretzky who has their place in history.

I guess that player at their "best", whatever you think that best is. Everyone will have a slightly different idea and then the discussion will be about that I suppose.

Is anyone opposed to no trades just to keep it moving?

I’m not sure I know how it works, I’d say maybe limit trades to those who aren’t up for picking, if that makes sense.

(1) Trades take away the focus from "best drafter" to "best trader", the latter of which involves a more serious time commitment; and
(2) Based on this forum's experiences with the typical current season fantasy drafts, trades invite chaos, tears of blood and pestilence.

@SRHRangers swings the discord average age to around 40 though.

Can we spread the word more somehow, maybe in this Discord? Would like to get a handful more teams and then start drafting this week. I will make a draft thread and update it picks. I can also make up a list of eligible players so it's easy for everyone.
