Can't say I love the predicted outcome, but that would be one hell of a game to watch!

Seems accurate tbh... Might be a few less for both sides, but with our team being all-offense(-no-defense) and Canada(despite their poor form) having such a high overall skill level, it might well turn into basketball on ice... Though of course with hockey you never know. Might just as well turn out to be 0-0 all the way to the shootout.

If Finland/Sweden is the semifinal, you have your gold medal game in the semis.

Was just about to post this. The other teams just seems a little meh to me. Finland looks like the only actual challenge for Sweden this year. Maybe Russia could do some damage to? Haven't really seen them this tourny.

You suck finland a final match would have been epic..:(

And it seems Sweden has the best GOATtender. I'm still mad at you dirty Swedes for that huge shutout against USA! :naughty:

If Finland had nearly the defense and goaltending as we have had on the previous years, I might put us as the favourite against any team excluding USA. Vehviläinen's game looks unorganized and hazardous to me and the defense is far from reliable. All we have is offense, mostly generated by four certain players (Aho-line + Juolevi). I would definitely go with Kähkönen, it seems to me that Vehviläinen takes himself out of position or loses track of the puck on almost any situation.

Saros and Ristolainen would have made Finland a completely different team, too bad they weren't eligible.

Nice to see Pulju emerge offensively now that Teravainen is in the NHL.

I got my tickets the day they went on sale. Bought them all at once.

So you bought tickets for both arenas for Saturday? Do you think this is something most Canadians did? I was thinking there might be Canadians willing to dish out big money for tickets in front of Hartwall Arena on Saturday, cause it was more probable that Canada would be playing at Nordenskiöldinkatu.

As a Finn I only had to get tickets for Hartwall Arena, cause it was already announced in the spring that Finland will be playing there.

I bought Hartwall first, in April, not really thinking that Canada could play at Ice Hall. The Ice Hall ticket I bought mid-December as an "in-case" thing. I know others have bought Hartwall, too.

Russia did defeat the Finns...

not really thinking that Canada could play at Ice Hall.

Had Canada finished in the top-two in their group (which was considered probable before the tournament) and thus avoided Finland, I'm pretty sure they would be playing at Ice Hall. Finland was a lock for the 6 PM (local time) game all the time, and I don't think it would make much sense to have Canada playing at 2 PM at Hartwall Arena. That's 7 AM in Toronto and 4 AM in Vancouver, which would be no good for TSN, when you could have Canada playing at Nordenskiöldinkatu six hours later (1 PM EST, 10 AM PST). The capacity at Ice Hall is a lot smaller, but I think 8,200 seats would still be well enough for a game like Canada vs. the Czechs or Canada-Slovakia.

If most Canadians bought tickets for Hartwall Arena assuming that Canada will be playing there, I think you got lucky when Canada was surprisingly left third in their group.
