Byfield for Norris. Two good young centers with bad contracts. Norris is better right now, but he has the injury concerns. Byfield has a much higher ceiling, but he hasn't shown any consistency at a pro level.

The Kings have DJ Smith as their assistant coach. He was a players coach who everybody loved because he kept the vibes in check and they didn't have to worry about silly things like giving the fans their moneys worth. They would do things like have practice, but all the players have to wear Hawaiian shirts. Or it would turn out that DJ wanted to go to a power lifting meet but it's at the same time as his wife's sisters birthday, so Josh and Brady would assist him in being at two places at once. Or at least, that is how I imagine it in my Sens fan fiction.

Byfield for Lafreniere would also be an interesting swap.

Heard earlier in the season from a flyers FO source that LA was dangling Byfield to flyers and was looking at farabee or foerster. Also that flyers were also looking at Turcotte.

That was before Farabee had a terrible season, though.

In terms of dumbass moves Blake is likely to make, trading Byfield is far, far, far less likely than trading Clarke. Byfield has recently been showing signs of the dominance he showed last year. He’s a contributor to the team right now.

Clarke plays less than 10 minutes a game. They are almost certainly going to scratch him for playoff games this year. Clarke has the most value of any player that they can move without subtracting from the current roster, which is key since Blake and Luc think they are legit contenders as is.

When I look at Clarke I see red and Dylan Guenther and Blake chose Clarke why? Maybe I'm too critical of Clarke...Brandt needs to get stronger on his blades and a lot more physical and not be afraid to take it to the house or at least provide some Offense in the way of seeing eye passes and goals
