He's playing well and fitting in. Quietly doing his job.

He should be a 3rd liner really and a 4th liner who can play top 9 minutes on a deep Cup Contender but he's the least of the Rangers issues now.

Funny, I thought the Rangers were considered a "deep cup contender"--at least the GM thinks so. In any case, Pyatt is not a forth line player. Solid 3rd liner who can step in and play in the top six if necessary (or is hot like right now).

Pyatt was a top 10 pick in his draft year so obviously he had some sort of talent that the scouts saw. Real good size and a good skater for a big man.

I dont like that logic at all. What did the scouts see in Jessiman and Montoya??? What did the scouts not see in Lundqvist that teams past up on him till the 7th round?

Most of what you said was true but I don't think scouts got to see much of Lundqvist based on where he played prior to NHL. There's a few from over there that went low in the draft but turned out well.

Of course scouting is not an exact science and there will always be mistakes. However, the scouts must see some talent in a prospect to pick him 8th overall where his game can translate well into the NHL.

Overall, Pyatt has had an ok or average NHL career so I would consider him not in the bust category as Jessiman and etc.
