LaxSabre - The United States home game takes place at the HarborCenter this Thursday with a 7:05 pm ET face-off. Sigh - same time as the Sabres-Islanders game. No idea on ticket prices for the game. If you can't make it to the game and want to watch it, the game will be made available via HockeyTV.

The United States team will be practicing at the HarborCenter - Wednesday - 1:45 pm ET-3:15 pm ET - Thursday - 9:00 am ET-10:00 pm ET - Friday - 11:15 am ET-12:15 pm ET. They then head to Canada for Game #2 on Saturday which will be played at the Vale Heath & Wellness Center in Port Colbourne, Ontario, Canada - face-off is slated for 3:30 pm ET. Go United States!

TEAM PROCESSING -
Upon arrival in South Korea, the United States women spent a night in Incheon, where each player went through team processing to get outfitted in Team USA apparel. The players visited with NIKE to try on their medal stand uniforms, Polo Ralph Lauren for Opening and Closing Ceremony outfits, and many more. Players also were sized for their official Olympic rings, took Team USA headshots and visited with Team USA digital media.

KEEPING UP WITH THE BRANDTS -
Each day, excitement builds as more and more teams and athletes from around the globe have arrived to the Olympic Village wearing their nation’s colors. Among the arrivals to the Village today was the Korean women’s hockey team, which meant that United States forward Hannah Brandt (Vadnais Heights, Minnesota) was able to catch up with her sister and Korean team member Marissa Brandt. “It was so exciting to see my sister for the first time in the village,” said Hannah Brandt. “We had some time to catch up and explore the village together. It was also nice to hang out with some of her teammates that I had met in the past.”

TODAY SHOW -
This morning some members of the team headed down to the beach in the coastal cluster, where they filmed a couple of segments for NBC’s TODAY with Keir Simmons. Keir spoke with team captain Meghan Duggan about how the team has enjoyed Korea thus far, and its expectations for the upcoming tournament. The Olympic rings stood in the sand on the beach, and the players took lots of photos and selfies to remember their visit.

They should talk to both of us first before they schedule any games! LOL! Even though I'll be in the area that day - see (...) - I'll be unable to attend the Beauts playoff game due to my soccer coaching gig - we have a match at 5:00 pm ET. (I plan on attending the Sabres-Blackhawks game - 1:05 pm ET - although I should probably sell the tickets as its one of the few games the rest of the season I'll be able to sell and even perhaps make some cash.) Oh well - Go Beauts!

Buffalo Beauts‏ @BuffaloBeauts -
Rebecca Vint has been added to the #NWHLASG! She’ll skate with #TeamLeveille in Saint Paul this weekend! Congrats, 12!

"Our mission has been clear since day one." - United States Olympic Women's Team captain @mduggan10
Article - A New Day - United States Hockey Website

The United States Women's Team held its final practice today before facing off against Finland Sunday to open play at the #WinterOlympics.

FINDING INSPIRATION -
On the eve of the United States first game of the Olympic tournament, players are already getting into the gameday mindset. Here are a few players’ inspirational quotes to live by that help drive them to be the best they can be on the ice.

“Starve your distractions, feed your focus” – Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson (Grand Forks, North Dakota)
“If you can’t stop thinking about it, don’t stop working for it.” – Kacey Bellamy (Westfield, Massachusetts)
“If you’re not willing to go all the way, why go at all?” – Dani Cameranesi (Plymouth, Minnesota)
“It’s not how big you are, it’s how big you play.” – Emily Pfalzer (Buffalo, New York)
“The difference between good and great is a little extra effort.” – Amanda Kessel (Madison, Wisconsin)
