Anyone else managed to wrap their heads around the new expansion rules yet? The league hasn't released anything yet and all we have are sometimes contradictory articles so far. Looking forward to all the teams finally being announced so we can get some official information.

Ian Kennedy of The Hockey News just posted that PWHL expansion to Washington DC isn't likely and it may be on the backburner.

Hamilton lands PWHL team: sources

Hamilton is getting a Professional Women’s Hockey League team.

Multiple sources have told The Spectator that a deal is done to bring an expansion franchise to TD Coliseum. An official announcement is expected to be made Thursday morning at the downtown arena.

Morgan Firestone Arena in Ancaster is expected to serve as the team’s practice and training facility.

This is part of a four-team expansion that will take the league from eight to 12 teams. Detroit has already been officially introduced as one of the new cities and reports say Las Vegas will be announced on Wednesday.

Not sure what the "fuzz" is all about, but there is semi-regular posting re. PWHL ops incl. expansionism in the higher ranked "Fugu's Business of Hockey Forum" (usually courtesy of @LadyStanley). The traffic in ALL of the "Other Leagues" subforums is spotty at best, reflecting the level of willingness of the vast majority of HFBoards members to swipe up more than twice in one browsing session to satisfy their fix of hockey before they return to their TikTok posting & viral video watching. Bottom Line (and below the line): If you're waiting for a voice to cry out in the wilderness on a topic you find worthy of attention, then make that voice your own.
