No interest at all from Edmonton. Puljujarvi AND a 2nd? For a guy that hasn’t been as good as Shane Starett in the AHL this year?

Jarry has nowhere near that kind of value and we have a slew of good goalie prospects coming anyway. Skinner and Wells both turned pro and are doing well, Rodrigue has been solid, Starrett has been lights out in the AHL and even that Hawkey kid is playing well in college. Last thing we need to do is to be overpaying for goaltending.

Let Talbot walk and sign McElhinney to back up for a third of the price.
i hear ya about starrett’s number this year being better than jarry’s in the ahl. but jarry has tasted nhl action and looked pretty good earlier this year and yes the pens were struggling at the time. he didn’t look out of place. i can see as early as next season the oilers looking again to their goalie position. maybe the second was overpayment but i was trying to think what the pens fans valued jarry at. puljujarvi is treading to be a bust jarry is not.

AVs Board has mentioned Jost for Puljujarvi.

Both struggling Forwards drafted in the same year. They have similar points (Poolparty played more games)

Oilers. Jost provides. High IQ, offers good defence and can play wing. Strong offensive skills, but still waiting to develop in the NHL. Feisty and tenacious, but not elite in any particular area. Playing in the AHL to regroup and avoid being impacted by the AVs losing.

AVs. Puljujarvi. Need for RW with size. Struggles with IQ could benefit reuniting with former teammate Rants. There is also less pressure developing with the AVs compared to hockey crazed EDM. He can slot into the 2nd or 3rd line to avoid playing against stronger lines.

I would take that as an Oiler fan.
