This lineup is the best sign Lysell could get. It means they are considering Freddy and Geekie on L3 which opens up RW on L2.

likely because he helps the team meet the vet minimum for pre-season games and they can play him in various roles. He's also likely one of the first guys called up if a 4th line player is needed.

Dom talked about this specifically on his podcast the other day. He said when the prospects play the preseason games with bottom 6 grinders that there are things the Bruins are looking for and production is not at the top of the list in this scenario.

Number 1 what kind of compete does the kid show? Is he working through the tough situation.

Number 2 is the kid willing/able to drive play for the line.

Yes it will be difficult to get points. But a willingness to compete and the opportunity to drive play rest solely in Merkulov’s and Lysell’s hands.
