Bruins vs Rangers. It seems like only yesterday Rod Gilbert cutting across the blueline and Billy Speer's shoulder knocking him and the Rangers playoff hopes into the second balcony of the old Garden. We went on to the Cup on a memorable Mother's Day. Two years later in the Cup Finals Game One, we had a 5-1 lead in Gm 1 only to see the Rags mount a furious comeback to tie it in the third. A meltdown to Montreal a year earlier was on our minds but with 2 minutes left Ace Bailey came charging down the wing and took it wide on Brad Park, cut back to the net and went forehand-backhand on Eddie Giacomin and we went on to beat the Blueshirts in six for the Cup. Those are the memories, that's our history, so Here We Go Bruins, Here We Go into another season
with many more memories waiting to be made.

(Billy Speer and his shoulder are seen at 1:40 secs)

Hi everyone, I'm back!
I hope everyone had a good summer, I'm sure I'll catch up on the news here via osmosis, but if anyone had anything tragic happen, condolences and hugs.
I attended my nephew's wedding in June (probably my last family wedding in my lifetime) in NH. I also visited my son and DIL in VA in July to see their new house. They are adjusting to being new homeowners. I also spent a weekend in Portsmouth NH visiting with a childhood friend who lives in Maine.
The only other big thing I did was to figure out and apply for Medicare ( I turned 65 yesterday ). If you think turning 40 or 50 is a mind-eff, wait until 65!
Anyway, I guess it's time to cough up the cash for NESN 360 again. :pb:Go B's!

Welcome to being “Medicare-years-old”. It’s really not so bad. Glad to see you back with us here in the lunatic fringe.

Congrats on 65.
Medicare was a little difficult for me to navigate too. So much to consider.
But with an assist form @Ladyfan I went with the classic Medicare plus Supplement 1A.
Turns out I have now better coverage than anytime in my life and avoided the Advantage Plans pitfalls.

I have a Medigap G. I did not pay anything for a total hip replacement or any of the PT. I can go to any doctor and do not need a referral.
As Wally said this is a better plan than my plan I paid for when I was working (HMO Blue Cross). I had to get a referral for everything and got hit with co-payments every time I used the plan.

Beware of the Advantage Plans.

All Medigap plans have to carry the same benefits. For me the choice was Blue Cross or Aetna. Aetna was cheaper even though it was the exact same plan. Every state has different insurance carriers.

I love Brad. We are SO lucky he is our captain. How dull it will be once he retires (not for a few years I hope).
