Watching the video a few times, I would guess that to be the case. The kid was making everyone else look bad. I'm sure if this was the playoffs he'd be back.

My thing with Benning is that when he is not handling the puck too much and staying in position, he's really solid. It's when he gets too ambitious, takes dumb risks, and takes himself out of position for offense that he gets in trouble because he's not a good enough skater or puck-handler to make up for his miscues. If he kept things simple, he'd be good.
