I'd like to see Reunanen in this one too. He's a very important prospect. It's unfortunate that Rykov didn't get any games though. Lindgren if he plays will be his 3rd game--Hajek his 4th. I think Hajek right now is the most likely to take the 3LD spot but Lindgren still has a chance.

Anyone not playing tonight has probably made the team.

I really dislike the idea of Smith being anywhere near the roster. If he is anything other then just an extra body that sits out every game I’d be disappointed.

those might be the lines but Quinn was asked after practice about the assumption and he said no and they were still deciding who would play

Please give me some Panarin and Andersson tonight. He's earned it more than anyone else that has played C in preseason, not named Zibanejad.

Maybe they'll rotate Panarin with the other centers, but I'm hoping he starts with Lias.

In as much as tonights game......I am really starting to get excited. Opening night, just days away. Things to be thrilled about......a PP that looms like it will be in the top 5 in the league.

When was the last time we could say that we were?
Goaltending seems to be somewhat on point.

Bad things......offense looks very spotty. Yet, seems we have had MUCH BETTER puck possession. Go figure.
Defense.....seems we still cannot get out of our zone quick enough. Too many giveaways. Then again, I am a very ROUGH judge on those kind of things.

Otherwise.......LFGR's. Yes, a page out of the Mets and our soon to be home run champ!
 
Not feeling strome with K and K. Has Chytil even been given a chance to center those guys? Wtf
 
Lots of questions and NOT a whole lot of answers. Quinn acknowledges such. Woukdnt it be wonderful if 2 or 3 players really stepped it up tonight and CLAIMING their spot on the team.

Yes.....looming at you Filip, Vitali, and especially Howden. He "should not" make this team if he cannot produce and PROVE he deserves that spot. He is NOT Vesey with AV at the helm.

Lindgren and Hayek playing? Hope so. Want them both to make the team.
 
Who are going to miss the start of the season if they don`t perform tonight, Chytil & Smith?
If they move Smith they have the cap spare too - I don`t care about Smith to be honest - not a fanboy of him.

Maybe they insist on Strome being the 2C so that they can trade him at the trade deadline for a decent return.. That's what I'm going to tell myself.
