If only they could dominate like they did last year in preseasonYou could've told me this was a regular season game from last year and I would've believed you.
Fine with me. It would be stupid to throw Bouchard in the top 4 right now. He's not ready, don't force it.
I feel like I say this every year... the Oilers played sloppy. Now I'm wondering if they even have the skill to not play sloppy. Playing sloppy is just what they are.
Or actual skill like McDavid, Draisaitl and Nuge. We don't have 6 moderately skilled guys for our top 6. We have one NHL defensemen with any skill that can still play defense in Klefbom. They need preseason skill like Rattie and Pulju back
41 shots... 71% on the dot and they still lose 4-2
Unlucky.. or just no damn finish yet again?
I'd take maybes right now over known bad players. It wouldn’t be. At all. Not if he’s the best option.
Benning is horrendous in the top four. Russell doesn’t work. All we have is unknowns.
I'm guessing its their goalies first NHL game or he's an ex-oiler by the looks of those stats41 shots... 71% on the dot and they still lose 4-2
Unlucky.. or just no damn finish yet again?
This preseason has shown us that the Oilers are still very weak on the back end and don't have a lot of finish up front. If only they could dominate like they did last year in preseason
We need those studs like Rattie and Yamamoto back
We were using our full lineup against a 3rd sting goalie and like...half of Arizona's lineup.41 shots... 71% on the dot and they still lose 4-2
Unlucky.. or just no damn finish yet again?
Yeah..this game didn’t reveal anything we didn’t already knowOr actual skill like McDavid, Draisaitl and Nuge. We don't have 6 moderately skilled guys for our top 6. We have one NHL defensemen with any skill that can still play defense in Klefbom.
It's not the results in preseason. Goals are too all over the place etc. But you can judge individuals pretty easily if you focus on their play and not production. This preseason has shown us that the Oilers are still very weak on the back end and don't have a lot of finish up front.
I mean, we knew this already but still. Preseason doesn't determine everything but it's not as if it doesn't show anything.
Thanks man .... but like Cup said, it’s not worth it for a pre season game.
